Getting clean

Tomorrow I’m starting the 7 day Clean Refresh cleanse and thankfully, a close friend and I are starting it together. If you check out the link, I realize it seems like a steep price to pay for a cleanse that you could maybe put together yourself for less, but it seems like a small price to pay for improved health! I will keep you posted of my progress, but I’m entering the cleanse at 5 lbs heavier than my target weight of 130/131 accompanied by chronic right shoulder pain due to bursitis (inflammation of the bursa, a fluid filled sac located in all joints), and a host of digestive issues.

If you read the book Clean, by Dr. Alejandro Junger, or even part of it, you’ll read testimonials from patients who claim that by doing Dr. Junger’s cleanse, aches and pains were virtually extinguished, irritability and mood swings lessened considerably, weight loss was significant in many cases, and the list of positive results from his cleanse go on. Most of his patients did the cleanse for 21 days and often chose to do it longer because they felt so great.

I’m doing the cleanse for 7 days because I’m on holiday and want to be able to eat dinner and enjoy alcohol! The cleanse allows you to eat a prescribed lunch, meaning there’s a list of ingredients you must avoid, but you could still go out to lunch somewhere and stick to the diet. Check out the link I provided to read more about the cleanse, but having just spent the last 24 hours with one of my cousins who was finishing up a juice cleanse, the Clean cleanse seems much more doable.
