You’re going to think that I’m a total hypocrite. I sang the Polar Loop’s praises, but I have to retract what I said and here’s why: I work out 3-4 times per week on a Technogym Crossover. I sweat like a pig and I would consider this active activity, physical activity, fitness activity, whatever you want to call it, but according to the Loop’s app, I’ve just spent 25 minutes walking and 5 minutes exercising. Say what??!
So, the long and short of it is that I’ve ditched the Loop and rely solely on the fact that I know when I’m casually walking, I know when I’m being a couch potato, and I know when I’ve busted my butt exercising. As far as calories burned, I’m not sure I really need to track this right now. This isn’t to say that I won’t return to wearing a fitness band, since I love the idea, but for now my personal trainer will be human, not one I wear on my wrist!
